Robert Mitchum portrays Harry Powell, a preacher, director Charles Laughton describes him perfectly at the beginning of the film. An unforgettable character, that will be trapped in the retina of cinemero over time. Which could not have been achieved if not for the superb performance of Mitchum.La film is exciting from beginning to end. Too bad he was not given the credit due at the time of its appearance. This discouraged a redirect Laughton to a movie again.

The film is accompanied by beautiful photographs that can be seen for example when children run into the pond via river. And with a view that the theatrical style, we will describe the facts a good pulse of the director who runs and not get tired at any time except the pause that makes the scene of the escape of children. So where is the weak point of the film? If we consider as a play to film, this would be round at all. But it's just that the film does falter, when reflected by the somewhat expressionist performances dislodged with a steady hand that he had been given until this occurs. But nothing of importance that affect the final result the final product. Classic

essential. Rating: 4 stars
